Bought multiple

PERFECT! Bought for my second generation Prius (2004-2009). It came with written instructions (Chicken Dance) on how to program it for keyless entry and ignition. Mind you, I've bought them several times because I have a lot of pri. You must do EXACTLY what the instructions say in the number of seconds it tells you. TIME IS IMPORTANT for successful programming.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Simply program yourself!

These keys were easy to program with "Chicken Dance". Don't pay anyone for it. Ignore the part of the ad that tells you you need a programming lock. It's just not true. You will save a lot of money. Make sure your original key has the black Toyota badge to get black color only. Silver doesn't work. For some declarations for this type of key, this is not entirely clear.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some bugs

Door unlock does not work

Both remotes are programmed to start the Prius but cannot get the remotes to unlock the doors. Even took her to a locksmith and he couldn't get her to work either. So if you are desperate and need cheap keys for your Prius and you don't mind using a real key to open the doors, buy one. However, if you really need a fully functional car remote, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Everything is OK

Works like the original

The cheapest way to get extra keys for your car. The instructions on how to program the keys to work with your car were easy to follow. I programmed both keys in under 15 minutes. I then took the original and both keys to a local hardware store and had my door keys cut for free (because I had my own keys). If you need spare keys, this is the cheapest way. The only cost was FOB. Programming was free (following good guidance) and keys cut free (because they were included). Avoid expensive thieves

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Good for the price.

Ordered to replace the lost remote control. It has good reviews and at $90 it's a steal compared to a retailer. We had it programmed by a locksmith as we didn't have the original key. Setting up the car to start was pretty easy. It took the locksmith 5 attempts to lock and unlock the doors. But in the end it worked. On a remote control, the lock button does not work properly (rare feature). It opens fine. The other remote works great. Another downside is that the spare key blanks that come with

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
