Doesn't work in interior

I needed a key to be cut by a locksmith that I've been using for years. The key didn't work. He said he was in big trouble because of cheap Chinese metal. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

BUYER BEWARE Anti-theft

BUYER BEWARE! The key fob works but the key doesn't. I was most interested in getting the keys to work, but it didn't. Took it to cut and program the key and was told the keys were not transponder keys and that the keys would only open the door but would not start the truck. Wasted my hard working money.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Working speed

A good alternative to the car dealer product.

This product looks solid but the board feels cheap in quality. It all started with trying to program the remote (through a licensed Keylock agent). Since then I have had to click the remote control several times to activate the car's system. This works but has an issue with multiple taps. Programming cost me $140 to program and cut the key.

worked well for interior

I received a used Toyota truck that came with just a key and remote control. The lower rated reviews suggested the keys might have quality control issues so decided to buy 2 packs to be on the safe side - so 2 extra keys and fob. I ordered a programmer from Tomskey over the Internet. The vendor charged $450 for a key - $150 if I brought my own keys. I spent an hour programming and reprogramming after my originally working key fob stopped working. A key had to be erased and reprogrammed twice…

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • No

Blank key not machined exactly

The removed part of this product without the key looks fine, I was able to activate it with a spell I found on several websites. However, the key itself is unusable - after cutting it off by inserting it from the side, the lock only turns after a long wobble and inserting it in the other direction does not work at all. At first I thought he was badly circumcised. it was done on a machine at Home Depot, so it seemed unlikely. A careful visual inspection revealed no obvious problems, the copy…
