Both the original and every replacement button I've ever bought have little tabs that the buttons sit on so they don't stick when pressed. They don't get stuck every time you press them. I bought another replacement from my local auto parts store where they have it and it never broke. I threw these in the trash.

This item's design is poor The loop that the key fob goes through isn't durable, but this is a great way to fix that without a full article to buy . I'm pretty picky about them and this fixes them and you get new rubber buttons to keep them looking new on the outside. Great product, bought several times over the years to fix mine and friends who had the same problem.

The part that kept track of my remote's key ring broke. What a disaster. I started searching the internet for how to replace it, thinking I'd have to replace the whole thing. Glad I didn't have to buy a new key fob. This one isn't big and is a little different from the one I had, although the numbers are correct. The buttons don't fit in the holes and get stuck on one side. but that doesn't seem to affect how it works, I just have to use a nail to pry it back out. Still, I'm glad I get my fob back and not pay 50 for a new one. so for the price i'm satisfied

Works! Swapped the board and battery from the old original key fob for the new one and it fits/works perfectly for my 2008 F-150. My only criticism of this product is that the rubber buttons are not high enough to push under the plastic shell. After taking it apart a few times I was able to stretch them just enough to sit over the plastic and function properly. Looks identical to the original but the battery holder does not grip or hold the battery like the original. This means the battery will work intermittently as it can slip. So if you decide to test them with the red emergency button, have an appropriately sized wrench handy so you can disconnect the positive battery terminal.
