Exact Match: Interior

Wife has a 2011 Kia Soul+ with 2 key fobs. Since mine was always left in the pocket, the rubber buttons fell off. I got a little excited when the dealer said they wanted $350 for a replacement. Since I rarely use their car, I ignored the remote control buttons and only used the key when necessary. Then I stumbled across this article and thought it might be worth a try. I was watching a video on how to change everything from an old keychain to a new one but thought I'd try something different…

Very good main body, included blank key does not fit 2012 Kia Soul

I bought this product to replace a damaged 2012 Kia Soul key fob. However, I had to use the key/hinge assembly from my damaged original key fob instead of the raw key that came with it as the raw key did not fit the 2012 Kia Soul. I had a hard time removing the pin holding the connector in the hinge assembly, but was able to use the original hinge and key assembly. The new key fob inherited the original circuit board from my old key fob, including the blank key/swivel assembly. No assembly…

Perfect for interior decoration

Let me start by saying that I have no patience at all. It was a bad start for me. After watching a lot, I mean a lot of videos about this repair, replacing the fog lights on my 2011 Kia Soul, I was a bit skeptical about the task. The part that took me a long time was separating the plastic standoff from the electronics board, which I later found out wasn't necessary, but by the time I was done it was too late. This foggy key wasn't exactly the same as the OEM inside because the electronic…

2013 Kia Soul Owners: Buy This Key!

After 6 years my unlock button on my key failed and the lock button barely held. I had a spare so thought I'd take a chance and buy one and see if I could get it to work. I used YouTube tutorials from Car Key Man and Remote Pro. The most difficult thing when transferring the components of the old key to the new shell is the transponder chip. You usually have to disassemble the old key to get to it as it is embedded and glued inside. So don't make the same mistake I made when I was looking for…

It is very difficult to assemble and not strong - it already broke!

Apparently KIA and Hyundai made between 2011 and 2014 in the style of "ploughboards" have many problems. Maybe that's why they don't seem to be making this style anymore. When I go online I only find complaints that the buttons on the key fob have fallen off or no longer work. We have a 2012 KIA Soul with low mileage and in perfect condition. However, a few years ago the key fob stopped working, so the doors had to be opened manually. For some people this isn't a big deal, but I'm disabled and…
