One star deducted because the battery didn't fit. I had to take a pair of scissors and file the battery compartment to fit. Once I did that I was able to replace my old remote's control box with this one and it worked great.

Works great on 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe. I broke the bottom of my OEM case where the key ring attaches. I thought I didn't have $150 for a reprogrammed FOB. It was so easy, you just remove the guts of the broken one and stick them in the new one.

Sounds like a great idea as I just needed a new case and my remote worked perfectly. It looks good but the case doesn't hold the battery well which is why it works intermittently. Now, two months later, the case is bursting at the seams.

Expect the button to wear out within a month. Expect the deal to crack within a few years. If you can live with that, everything will be fine. The rest of the equipment is good. and works as it should.

It was a great idea without having to replace the whole block, but the back of the tee broke in the middle after a short while. I don't remember dropping the keys, but maybe. No problem. At this price I don't mind replacing it.

I read the bad reviews before buying but thought I could be more careful not to hack it. The case is NOT accurate in its dimensions. I cut out the excess plastic wrap around the part of the case that holds the battery before attempting to snap it into place. I thought I won because it worked fine for about 2 months and I saved a lot of money right? Well after 2 months of use the back cover broke in two. I'm saving on an original spare part at full price.

Inconsistent. This is the best way to describe the quality of this item. I've ordered three in the last two years and each has jumped through fairly minor falls. Minor cracks in the subsurface are very relentless in terms of functionality. I opened and closed the first one with and/or without a battery without any problems. Subsequent commands only open with life jaws and take away numerous nails. Tension, in my opinion, strongly correlates to the ease with which it breaks at the slightest…
