KFI Products 100430 Winch Polaris Review

Present I have used them on 2 different 2002 Sportsman 500's and they fit with no modifications. (Although one of the holes wasn't completely punched out I had to use a hole punch to knock it out but it was a 5 second fix.) The first is over 5 years old and the power plating is holding up great. This second one was for a short time so can't rate durability yet but looks good.

I have a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 400 and this mount fits perfectly. As with every other KFI product I have purchased, it turned out exactly as described. It came quickly, in sealed packaging, with clear and concise instructions, and was easy to install. No modifications were required on my machine. This was the first step in installing the KFI plow.

Love it. Ideal for Gen IV, ATP 500 HO style. I warn you, it is not an easy process. Aligning all the screws with the brush guard and radiator shroud is a chore. Leave everything loose as directed until all hardware is in place. Very strong, secure fit. My car has plenty of room for a SuperWinch LT3000 (the biggest this mount can take) and the front bumper is still tidy.

Fits my 1999 Polaris Sportsman 335 perfectly. It was difficult to fit the bracket around the clamps, but when you're done it fits nice and tight. Start with one clamp and screw it in (just a few turns) on each side. If you try to attach all the clips before fastening, they will definitely fall out. I put a flathead in there while I was putting the clips in, yeah. it's so tight! Loosen all, tighten all and you're done.

Strong bracket, well made. Fits perfectly on my '99 Polaris Sportsman. I used it to install a 3500lb Badland winch. In order for the winch to fit the sides of the bracket, the winch spool is not centered on the machine or within the bracket. In my situation, it is not possible to mount the bracket the wrong way round. Installing a winch under the mount may work for centering, but in my case this is not possible as it interferes with the snow thrower mount. An off-center coil can stress one side

I fitted this to a 2002 Polaris 500 HO with winch. The bike had a Polaris Tube brush guard with a fair lead mount. This created interference that I had to grind out from the underside of the mounting plate. The six mounting holes that attach the mount to the bike didn't line up very well and had to be opened up to even get close. I ended up not even using the top two mounting holes due to running out of mounting hardware. Four of the six screws will probably be fine. With a few design tweaks…
