Description of πŸ”¬ KHCRAFT 150mm Chrome Plated Precision Measurements with 0.001mm Accuracy

Made of real stainless steel hardened Chromeplated, fine ground and polished, each product has a serial number to control the quality. Professional precision measuring tool for industrial use (particularly on metal workpieces), totally different from DIY hand measuring one (like any carbon steel caliper, which is not good to measure metal workpieces bacause of the low hardness). What is the most important factor for a precision measuring tool? Accuracy! All our finished calipers are inspected piece by piece to control the accuracy +/-0.001"/0.02mm. Though digital calipers are easy to read because of the screen, machinic ones (vernier calipers) are more reliable! This is why vernier calipers and dial ones still exist after digital ones appeared. 4 ways to use: inside/outside/step/depth measurement, which almost meets all basic precision measuring needs. Packed in storage case and card box.

There is something wonderful about the mechanical vernier.

I was really new to the vernier method. What makes this thing good are the polished jaws that don't let light through. Since I've been building electric motors, I've been measuring all sorts of things. The accuracy was checked with comparable digital calipers. But you're getting better at shifting your gaze between converging pairs of lines. This makes it a powerful tool. Still reading about this concept, now I can measure the thickness of my thinning hair. Digital calipers must be zeroed…

Pros
  • Packed in storage case and carton.
Cons
  • Skinny Guide

Difficult to read and not high accuracy.

Bottom line: when you NEED accurate measurements, spend your money on something great. In my case, I mainly work on wood, so I knew that, imprecise as it was, it would be enough for my needs. Details: 1) My eyes are getting old :( The markings are too small for me to read easily. I have to use a magnifying glass to get a decent reading. 2) The markings seem a bit rough and blurry. This is probably not a problem as the accuracy is not high initially. 3) Initial zero points did not match. Things…

Pros
  • 4 uses: measure inside/outside/step/depth, which meets almost all basic measurement accuracy needs
Cons
  • No instructions

Hardly anything to complain about the price

Does what it says on the tin, at an impressive price. The scales are screwed on rather than integrated into the slide block, which isn't a good thing - if they ever loosen even a little bit, accuracy will be reduced. Also, my set seems to feel small when closed. The case is covered in cheap foam rubber that I'm sure will crumble in a few years. It doesn't have a real wheel, just a knurled thumb rest, and the head of the setscrew is on the small side (presumably because a large head with a lot…

Pros
  • Professional precision measuring tool for industrial use (especially for metal workpieces), completely different from hand-held measuring tools (e.g. any caliper made of carbon steel, which is not suitable for measuring metal workpieces due to its low hardness)
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
