It was very easy to install. Simply place the button where you want it, then run the cable to the amplifier. Plug in and done! Works like a champ! I like being able to control the subwoofer volume in real time as each tune has a different level of bass material and power. The knob makes it easy to correct tunes that require more bass, or as an attenuator for tunes that have a lot of bass. Excellent purchase!

This could have gotten five stars for value for money unless it broke after 32 days. As long as he worked and did what he had to do, he was pretty good. Very easy to adjust from no bass to lots of bass. It was great when you had other people in the car and you quickly turned down the bass, or when you had a song that was too much. You can then turn it back on when you need it for the next song.

I can't comment on the ease of installation as I paid a professional to do the entire installation of my stereo. I use this pen with Kicker CXA400.1. I was hoping since having a 4 year old that I could use this to cut enough bass in the car with my daughter and at the same time easily crank the bass to the max when I'm alone in the car.
