Update: Reconnected cables and the sound quality is much better. The sound quality was worse than the standard speakers. Any bass introduces terrible distortion which I wouldn't recommend. Unfortunately I installed them after the return window so it's a complete waste of time.

Speakers combined with factory stereo will not work well with bass, but if you have a stereo that has bass and volume/volume level with +,-; they work incredibly well for about $70. I highly recommend it if you have an aftermarket stereo. *For brand new speakers, never play at or near full volume for at least a week, slowly crush the speaker to avoid damaging it*

I replaced the factory front door speakers on my 2014 Nissan Altima with these kicker speakers. They sound way better than the factory! Bass and even high frequencies sound much better. I love bass, but I also love hi-hats and everything in between. These kickers balanced the stock and rear speakers so well it was all I needed. Not the best speakers money can buy, but definitely the best in this price range. Highly recommend this smart sound upgrade for your car.

Purchased at the end of September 2018. Installed in 2000 Silverado with factory audio. Worked great until March 2020 when the passenger side started splitting (not pictured). Fast forward to now, May 28th. The driver's side of 2020 is starting to sound bad. Does not sound good. Purchased to replace blown door speakers in a Blazer Xtreme. It's not my daily driver so I didn't want to throw a lot of money into the system. There is no amplifier. Only directly from the head unit. To be honest I was surprised at how good they sound. It would sound better if I powered them through an amp. My doors are built into the closets, that helps a lot. Excellent speakers! Really dynamic and very clean with their sound. I installed four [two front and two rear] 2016 Hyundai Elantra and the sound quality improved immediately! Note: These speakers DO NOT deliver much bass, at least in my case. The reason I got these was because I also put 2 10 inch subwoofers in the back. Even without a subwoofer installed, they lacked bass and excelled in clear vocals and acoustic sound. Just swap speakers as I go and use the pre-installed stock speaker covers.

They are a bit big for the rear of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ. I had to enlarge the speaker mounts to fit. Once fitted, however, the standard grille covers snapped easily into place and the plinth protruding from the slightly larger speakers is very noticeable in a good way.
