My kids and I love these straws and love that I can compost them while they are still around nothing "non-compostable" on it (like milk). They seem to soak up liquid fairly quickly, but I guess that's what you get if you want a safe and biodegradable glue to hold them together? Definitely worth the price.

Pros
  • Printed with soy based food safe ink
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Shelf life depends on cup size

I have found that the lifespan of these straws depends on the size of cup I use. If I use a giant 32-ounce mug, most of the straw gets submerged in water and breaks before I've finished my drink. However, the straw lasts a little longer with smaller cups. It's a small sacrifice for me to use a smaller cup and if a small contribution helps to eliminate a plastic straw then I will continue to do so. Great straws, so glad I found them!

Pros
  • box contains 144 colored striped straws
Cons
  • thin

These straws looked so good in glasses for the lemonade we had.

These straws looked so good in glasses for the lemonade bar we had at my sister's party and for the cafe I set up for the bridal shower, although I didn't get a chance to take a picture of that. Everyone loved it. You'd only last for a shot or two and then get a little soggy, but that's what you'd expect from a paper straw. I really liked the colors and their execution. And it's hard to beat the price.

Pros
  • Biodegradable & Compostable
Cons
  • Available in white only
