Maybe everything was fine, but.

I was hoping to upgrade my Kinetic Fluid head to work with Zwift as a smart trainer. Ease of installation. Seemed to be working fine until I tried updating the firmware as recommended. Looks like iOS 13 broke their app which is required for updates. Although I've searched the forums and support pages, there was no mention of this issue. A few days after I returned the device, CS got back to me. "We posted the issue on FB." Found it on my feed. Should have fixed it. In any case, it's too late…

Solid but some flaws

For what I wanted it's 5 stars. I already had a Kinetic Fluid trainer, so the fact that I could easily remove this resistance unit and add this was a little beyond my budget. It's fairly responsive and definitely closer to street riding. He does what he says, no more, no less. A couple of annoying things are that the calibration can shut down or be skipped, although lately it's gotten better when I do it after a ride. If you don't move your bike during the training season, you should be fine…

Great smart trainer for Zwifting

I bought this to replace the resistance unit on my old Kinetic Road Machine trainer: After 10 years of heavy use every winter it was pretty good but eventually it started to 'bearing' " close. the noise and smell of burning were gone when driving at speeds in excess of 18 miles per hour. I wasn't planning to use Smart Control as a smart trainer with Zwift etc but since I signed up I think it's the best way to use it. Zwift will definitely make me stronger; and I'm not sure if it can be used…
