Much easier to set the water level in my reef tank's sump

Much easier to set the water level in my reef tank's sump. I had a cheap Menards ball valve to control the flow of water into the sump. Only the water level in the sump was possible, until I installed a new valve GVG-1000, it is much easier for me to regulate the constant water level in the sump.

Pros
  • Rated at 150 psi at 73 degrees Fahrenheit
Cons
  • old

Moderate leakage at valves

Used as a reef aquarium valve (on the overflow). Does pretty much what it's supposed to do, but the one I have has a slight leak when adjusting (3-4 drops per turn of the knob) and a constant drip about every 10-15 minutes when not turning. Pros
  • NSF certified safe for potable water and low lead
Cons
  • Crumpled

Luckily there is a brass ball valve in front of it so I don't have to rely on that alone to shut off the water. I also bought some 3/4" valves from the same company. One of these leaks the same way. I'm…
