💾 High Performance Kingston High Endurance MicroSD 128GB Memory Card for 1080P Full HD Video Recording, Up to 95MB/S Read Speed, SDXC Flash (SDCE/128GB) Review

Anyone with a Thinkware DVR is probably familiar with formatting issues of their 'own' memory card. I've tried SanDisk, Samsung, and several other generic micro SD cards, and they all fail in the camera ("memory card format required" on every boot, despite multiple formatting). Thinkware sells its own cards for 4-5 times more than the competition. Luckily, this card works like a charm! I hope Kingston doesn't change the file structure or formatting in the future.

It's nice to see that some well known brands are starting to produce SD cards with increased reliability. I have a BlackVue 590W2CH DVR in my car and they don't work well with other brand SD cards. The problem is that their SD cards are ridiculously overpriced (seriously, a 128GB BlackVue card is $150 at the time of this review). SD cards from Kingston and Sandisk have a claimed lifespan of 10,000 hours for the 64GB model, which equates to just over 1 year of continuous HD video. Compare that to Samsung Endurance cards, which have a claimed lifespan of over 26,000 hours, which equates to 3 years of video. Considering that Samsung cards are much smaller than 2.6 times more expensive than others, why would you use other cards for continuous video recording?
