Works 100% of the time.

This is the best micro SD card reader I currently own. Others don't seem to align micro SD cards well enough. This holds them tight and seems to align them perfectly. In addition, the curve at the card insertion point makes it easier to insert and remove micro SD cards. There's a downside: It's not as fast as some other micro SD card readers, but it makes up for it with reliability. .I would definitely buy this again.

Good value small micro SD USB 3+ UHS II adapter

This small micro SD adapter is designed for faster USB 3 or higher and UHS II connections. I didn't have a UHS II card, only a UHS I, V30 card. Using it with the adapter was much faster than the adapters I had or the adapter built into my computer, with write speeds about three times faster than the old adapters and even faster read speeds. It has a second row of pins inside the reader because that's how the uhs II works, but it's backwards compatible. The price was good and it works very well.

Difficult to plug into USB ports; often no connection

Trying to use this Kingston USB adapter with a microSD card in my car to support the DVR was unsuccessful and I switched to another adapter. Firstly, this adapter is difficult to plug into USB ports. It feels like the plug is too big and requires a lot of force to insert. Second, sometimes my microSD card wouldn't connect to my camera and wasn't even recognized. Uninstalling and reinstalling several times usually restored the connection, but it never lasted long. Since the same microSD card…

Not much to say that has already been covered. Excellent goods.

Worth the money. It's a bit wider than it looks in the picture but I love the fact that I can use it as a flash drive and also swap out the micro SD card in a split second. It's tight so you don't have to worry about it coming out. The end of the card does not protrude beyond the adapter, which protects it from possible damage. Technically it is completely closed. Looks solid and has a good brand name. If you have a lot of micro SD cards and need extra storage but don't want to spend a lot of…

Easy. It just works.

After reading many reviews of other card readers and seeing how bulky and finicky they can get over time, I decided on this one. I love its simplicity and the fact that it comes ready to use. When I travel I do a lot of video editing and need to quickly copy 4k videos from 3-4 GoPros at the same time. Before that, I had to either use the SD card adapter in my laptop's SD card reader (surprisingly slow) or use a USB cable to copy directly from the GoPro (I absolutely HATE that GoPro chose to use

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

1 star - since it does NOT fit all my USB 3.0 ports and is too tight in the ports, I dare to put it in. Only positive: if it fits in the USB port - no problem reading the memory card. Very very tight - if my laptop and desktop have USB 3.0 installed - I don't know if that's normal - or do I have a bad one? Seriously, too much hassle to install this USB adapter. Very tight - but not that tight - when installed into my desktop PC's dedicated USB 3.1 port - MB ports. I really wonder if this will…

The best reader I've ever used.

Unfortunately, one of the previous reviewers has a system issue that is causing the speed issues he's encountered. How do I know what you're asking? Well I have and have access to hundreds of systems and over a hundred MicroSD cards. Okay, the big hit was the fact that my HP laptop and Dell desktop both have USB 3.0 ports that run at USB 2.0 speeds, seriously. PITA why do you paint it blue and/or don't mention it in the specs. so stupid! (No other USB 3.0 drive I plug into these ports runs…

The BEST MicroSD card reader for high quality UHS-I cards!

I've tried several USB 2.0 card readers that were maxed out at around 40MB/s. I also tried the very popular Transcend USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) MicroSD/SD card reader, but it managed 95 MB/s. At first I thought it might be my microSD cards. Because there are a TON of fakes branded by big brands in the industry (SanDisk, Samsung, Lexar, Delkin) and companies often exaggerate claims. SD/MicroSD cards do not differ in terms of read and write speeds on all types of storage. After several attempts to…
