Kirby Vacuum Neutral Drive Switch Review

Replacement was exactly what came in my last G. YouTube disassembling vacuum cleaner video for easy replacement. Totally satisfied.

If the vacuum cleaner makes a whistling noise when moving into neutral, the cam and switch are worn and not allowing the gear to fully disengage. Watch a youtube video on replacement and note where the torx screws come from. Not everything is the same. The vacuum cleaner works like new again!

These old (19 year old) Kirbys are awesome! They're very heavy, but they clean better than 90% of the vacuums sold today. This transmission shifter lets you push and pull Kirby like he's lighter than a feather. Buy it, fix Kirby and put the old fart to work!

I ordered this part first as the old one was disconnected from the activation cam. I discovered the old one and put a clip on it to hold the camera in place. This new part was much better. Now the vacuum cleaner works like new. I seriously thought that the drive was shot. It turned out that only the pedal and cam needed to be replaced.
