I don't use fragrance products, I don't want my soap to smell like lavender but OH GOD this soap smells awful. I was shocked as soon as I rolled it out. After a few breaths I realized that it smelled like an old ashtray! It is NOT an "earthy" or "olive" smell or anything like that. I bought it to use on my baby's skin but damn I don't use it for anything. Disgusting.

DO NOT USE if you have sensitive skin! I don't have sensitive skin and this was giving me hives and itching like CRAZY! I started using this soap the day after I received it and have been itching wildly for the last 2 days. At first I thought it was a change in weather, but then I found out it was soap. I got this soap because my doctor recommended it to me, but it turned out that this soap was giving me uncontrollable itching and hives.

I had a severe allergic reaction to this soap today, I decided to use it on my face as my facial soap was out of reach. First he burned my nostrils; then my eyes burned intensely and watered. The most frightening was a stabbing headache, dizziness and nausea. I had to get my husband to sit with me until my headache subsided because I thought I was having a stroke. I don't have high blood pressure. The irony is that I used it successfully on my face for years until a class action lawsuit in 2017

I have purchased this product from my local health food store for many years. In a moment of laziness I ordered 3 packs from Revain. It arrived yesterday and it smells of petrol. I don't know if these are fake bars, if they were poorly stored, or if it was sloppy production that QC didn't detect. I usually love this product. But this batch smells awful!
