I use this to hold washcloths, scratch pads and brushes. This product prevents these items from sinking to the bottom of the sink, rusting and getting dirty. In addition, they can drain when wet. As you can see in the picture, it's nice above the center divider in my double sink. I've had it for a few weeks now and it's durable, seems to resist rust and dirt.

Good idea and it hangs great on the side of the sink but I returned it as it just got in the way. I couldn't keep the water from getting on the sponges as I hung them on the side to rinse the sink so they stayed wet the whole time. It was not possible to put it down on the opposite side of the sink because the entire basket would be in the rinsing water.... My current sponge holder doesn't drain well and I keep changing it. Yay! I will search further...

The first holder I bought was with suction cups and the material was clear acrylic, I threw it away after 2 weeks, the bottom and the area where it was held suckers became slimy. Now this wire mesh holder stays clean because there is no hard bottom for dirt to collect on. It is easy to move and the medium size offers enough space. The only downside for me, and this is due to the small size of the sink, is that I have to remove a large pot because it's practical. Still I recommend.

I was looking for a basket to store my kitchen sponge (which is actually a Norwex dish strainer) in the sink so excess water runs down the sink to dry.
