These oven mitts are a beautiful colour, arrived on time and would be very expensive if they were really heat resistant. Heat-resistant silicone is pressed onto the cotton fabric in strips. There is no thermal resistance between the strips, making it difficult to remove a large casserole or baking sheet from the oven. Of course, the gaps between the strips are small, but if you take a large hot surface, these small gaps are not protected from heat.

I like these short mittens because they are more comfortable for me than long ones. You don't have any extra fabric getting in the way. The silicone helps grip things, but sometimes it feels like it's stuck to a hot dish. I think it's just something you have to get used to.

I thought they were perfect because they are rated for temperatures up to 500 degrees. The first time I used them today to lift a baking sheet out of a 400 degree oven, removing the glove made me immediately feel hot and my hand turned red. I have had many similar products over the years but this is by far the worst. Do not buy!

I've only used pot holders a handful of times so far. I really like them because they are not as long as traditional potholders. Heat doesn't go through them either! I especially like the way they are made for the thumb and forefinger, it's like having a whole mitten on all your fingers! I don't understand the stretch ratings but they cover the entire hot surface. Definitely recommend!
