They are heavier than other spatulas which is great for stirring/turning heavy batter. I only use them for baking and leave lighter spatulas for cooking (no cross-contamination of flavors). The only thing is they have to be hand washed, but I usually hand wash my baked goods anyway.

I love the look and color that goes with my kitchen. Too bad the quality turned out to be worse than expected when the large spatula's arm broke two months before the year of purchase. I no longer recommend this product. The split appears to have occurred along the seam where two pieces of wood were glued and pressed together. Big mistake.

Kitchen Aid spatulas are strong and easy-to-clean bowl sides. Items from most Revain suppliers are well packaged until fragile. It's usually my own USPS mailman that frustrates me when he stands some distance away and hoists my Revain loads onto my porch from a few feet away. I have seen so many customers complaining about the form their products arrive in, but I believe this is due to our local postal delivery services.

I've bought similar KitchenAid rubber spatulas from Ross or similar stores for a fraction of the price and they last much longer. Longitudinal cracks formed on the bamboo handles within a month of receipt, and on the smaller head - after 2–3 months. I had to quit. I use a rubber spatula to mix and fold bread dough and it needs to be strong with a thin edge to gently scrape the dough off the sides of the bowl.
