Shards everywhere

The size of the board is perfect! BUT the board is very rough and splintery on both sides. After washing it got worse. It just seems unsafe. Too bad it was perfect for the board I was planning to replace.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Useless features

Very durable: cutlery and knife accessories

Exactly the size I was looking for, but maybe even a little thicker (giving it more strength) than I would have liked. Also the finish isn't as smooth as I was hoping, but maybe with frequent use and washing it will become.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Empty

Poor quality, not worth the money.

Board is torn/parted along separate glue lines. They were not visible until the shrink wrap was removed. It is useless for cooking.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

Splinters everywhere

At first glance this board looked perfect and solid. However, after washing, chips immediately appeared on the entire surface. I thought the other reviewers might have just received a defective product, but I think the material used is just a mess. It fell into disrepair and had to be returned.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Quality

Nice wooden cutting board

This is a really thick and solid cutting board. It's quite heavy, which would be good if you're not weak in grip or hand strength. I've just started using it so can't give long term ability. Treat with edible mineral oil to preserve the wood.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Can I add something

Ideal for limited counter space!

Bought this for my top salesman who wanted a small but sturdy chopping board for his small kitchen. He loves to! Very good thickness, quality piece of wood and a good price! It will definitely last a long time. It's worth the investment so your worktops don't get damaged.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Rough surface for cutting boards

Looks nice, thick and strong and I need the size for easy handling and small cutting jobs. BUT when I removed the plastic wrap I felt that both sides of the surface are not smooth but very rough... I am afraid to use it for cooking as I feel small fragments can get into the food. If I had a mill, I wouldn't mind finishing it myself. Not sure how to get it back as I don't know what I did with the labeled packaging. I want to love this product.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Volume

Needs sanding

Bought to chop vegetables. It's very small. It has dimensions but I had no idea how small it would be. Its my fault. It's very rough and feels like they just stamped it without sanding it. Frankly worried about the fragments. It's hard, which is to be expected with solid wood. With a name like KitchenAid I am disappointed in the quality of this product and will not order again or recommend it. I would suggest paying a little more and getting better quality.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Damaged
