Position on Scale has Minor Effect

I use this to weigh out and brew coffee. It does a good job but I've noticed if I pick up and move the position of what I'm weighing or re-weigh in a separate container after taring there's some subtle differences.These are in the neighborhood of .2 grams so they're annoying more than disastrous. Great scale for the price otherwise.

Repeats and reads quickly

This is a very nice product. It updates weight changes quickly, and I like that the scale turns off after 2 minutes but the timer stays running for 4. Nice feature.

Mostly accurate for my opinion

It works for measuring coffee beans. I have habit of cross checking weight by taking away beans. In two weeks, only once the reading was changing. But for the most part it’s consistent.

Sensitive and accurate

It’s a perfect tool to measure coffee extraction with the stop watch and scale. I used it on the Breville Barista Express and some of my previous scales barely have space to put my cup on it while doing the extraction but this is just right.

Easy to use. The only thing I would have liked is the timer to be on the right so it can be easier to turn on espresso machine and timer quicker but not a big deal.

Overall, I'd recommend this device for accurately measuring coffee beans.1/10 gram accuracy helps get consistent results when measuring beans for espresso. For me, it replaces scales with 1 gram accuracy, which was not sufficiently granular, for example 17.0g vs 17.9g will get you different results when making espresso.I could only compare it with my existing scale up to 21g. They both showed the same weight.The scales don't offer a way to reset or calibrate themselves. Don't get confused by…

Stable and accurate

I purchased this because the scale I had been using was not stable. The weights displayed jumped up and down even when there was nothing on the scale. The KitchenTour Coffee Scale with timer is rock solid and easy to use. What that translates to is that you can easily make great coffee repeatably. Great for baristas too!

I use this scale constantly and it’s been great! Through gnarly spills on the espresso machine and around the counters, it’s lived and keeps going, great for timing and measuring your shots (fits snuggly into an espresso grill) and is accurate for dialing as well!

Accurate and Reliable

I bought this scale a few months ago. I didn't expect much based on the cost, but this timer has far exceeded my expectations. The scale itself is very accurate even with off-center loads, the buttons are suprisingly responsive despite being capacitive, and the large display is clear and easy to use. If something ever happens to this one I would replace it with the same model without a second thought.

Compact, light, easy to read

Light and more compact than my old scale. Light touch controls are nice feature. Seems accurate and no error on repeats. Using to weigh lighter foods so no experience with heavy items beyond about 2 lbs. small size could be a concern with bulky items

Fast reading, easy to use, looks good

Using it to measure coffee input and output when making espresso. Works very well, quickly tares, and you don’t need to use the rubber mat. Accurate at low and high weights. Very clear white on black readout, and handy combination of weight and time. Note the range is limited as with most if these scales, so if you eg try testing out your tamp pressure you’ll get eeee.

Turns itself off in the middle of being used

I got this to help make my morning pour over, and have found it to regularly turn itself off between pours. So I’m maybe halfway through, then the screen goes black and I loose the weight, because it tares itself fresh when you turn it back on. It’s so frustrating when I’m just trying to make my coffee and get ready for the day. Makes me want to throw this thing in the trash.
