Klein Tools IR07 Infrared Thermometer Review

This is a great little meter, carry it in my pocket when I go to work, fits almost anywhere you are trying to take measurements and it's always nice to have a second meter to get a second measurement. I have many small instruments and love them.

Ideal temperature sensor for the kitchen. There are many inexpensive temperature sensors for the kitchen and workshop. I'm glad I bought it for our kitchen. Very accurate. probe and proximity sensor. My daughter saw it in our kitchen and had to have the same one. Did you buy one? Now she uses it almost every day, throwing away the cheap Chinese temperature sensor she used to use. The probe is accurate to almost 4 degrees Fahrenheit. Tested in the mouth. I am healthy and a real thermometer reads me in the middle of 98 degrees. This probe showed an average of 94 degrees. The accuracy in the infrared range is also not correct. I tested it on the hot end of my 3D printer and on a table warmer. Both were only 5-10 degrees Celsius compared to the 3D printer's internal temperature sensors.

I am satisfied with the quality and accuracy. I like the probe. I mainly use it for blending in a blender. But somehow the battery cover popped open and the screw was still in place and the battery compartment was wet. I removed the screw but I can't tighten anything and the instructions are useless for this task. Let's see how their warranty/customer service goes. I used this from January 2021 to May 2021, less than a year.
