Description of Klein Tools Tone Probe PRO

Includes a professional grade tone generator and tracing probe for non-active wiring. Toner-Pro features 5 distinct tone cadences, transmits 1,000+ feet. Rugged Angled Bed of Nails (ABN) clips securely attach to wires. RJ11 plug easily connects to telephone and RJ45 data jacks to tone wire pair. Toner-Pro tests for continuity and polarity with results indicated by clearly labeled LEDs.

Accurate and Efficient Network Tester

As a new buyer in the Industrial and Scientific field, I was searching for an efficient network and cable tester and stumbled upon this device. Based on my observations, I can confidently say that this tester delivers accurate and consistent results, which allows me to quickly identify cable faults and locate connected outlets. The design is durable and comfortable to hold, making it easy to use in a variety of work environments. The only downside is the price, but the quality of the tool…

Very weak speaker in probe

Toner OK but speaker on probe incredibly weak. Even at maximum volume, the stick must physically touch the wire to get sound. And anyone with tinted cables knows how useless it is to find cables in bundles or in a rack full of patch panels. Of course, you can still sound louder and clearer by plugging in headphones. But it still proves the speaker is junk. I bought this to replace my old wand as the speaker broke. weak speaker defeated the goal of getting one.

Only works with a specific cable tester model?

This probe does not work with my other Klein Scout Pro2 LT wire tester. The "Also Purchased Customers" section lists the Scout Pro2 Series that was purchased with this sensor. The Scout Pro2 manual states that only the analog tone sensor (VDV500-060). I can't find a model 060 probe without paying much more than the price of this supposedly newer and better probe. Am I missing something? It's too confusing and takes too long. Why can't Klein make probes compatible with more than one cable…
