The purchase brought only positive emotions.

Well, finally, I am ripe to leave a review about Klipsch The Fives, the speakers that I purchased in November 2022 after a lot of choice and unwillingness to give almost 100,000 due to my audiophile addiction. But I still could not resist, and now I'll tell you how it all happened. Let's start with the background: my first speakers were simple Microlabs, then the more conscious and mature Edifier R2700s. There is nothing to tell about Microlab, the usual middle peasant, Edifier terribly pleased

Pros
  • Sound quality, versatility, easy setup, design
Cons
  • Very crude software, all documentation in English.

Nice price, good quality.

The advantages in some way cover the disadvantages, the sound is chic, but the sediment remains. For such money (taking into account the discount I bought for 88350), I consider them very significant and upsetting. The biggest annoyance was that the speakers were noisier than my previous Edifier R2750DB. Turning off the power through the remote control is unusual, but I think you can get used to it. If you turn on the β€œsmart” bass (a feature developed by Klipsch), then it will be very fat…

Pros
  • Tight and clear sound at all frequencies; ease of management; strict style; compactness; several different inputs (RCA, USB, optical, coaxial, AUX); the ability to adjust low frequencies (from the remote control); easily mounted magnetic protective grids; the presence of a ground terminal (meaningless if your house does not provide grounding in sockets); built-in MM-phono stage with the ability to turn it off; the presence of HDMI (both input and a complete cable) and Bluetooth; detachable long cable connecting the speakers; the presence of a USB cable for connecting to a PC; built-in sound card in the speakers (although its characteristics are not clear); when connecting an additional subwoofer, its volume can be adjusted from the remote control; it is possible to ate the firmware (manually via a flash drive, but easier through a mobile application).
Cons
  • Lack of physical power off and bass adjustment buttons (cheap manufacturers almost always provide this); noisy background at any volume level, which is audible even in quiet (empty) places of songs, and even more so in the absence of sound; only two modes of changing low frequencies (you need to hold the β€œSUB” button (which has an arrow) on the remote control for three seconds, why couldn’t it be done with one simple press?); automatic switching on (after the PC wakes up from sleep mode or simply after switching on, at least when connected via optics); do not retain the selected sound level after being disconnected from the power supply; a large gap when changing the volume; the speakers have grounding, but the plug does not have it in the supplied power cord (in 220); the phase inverter is located at the back (it is necessary to put it at least 15 cm from the wall, put it further - I didn’t hear a difference in sound).

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

It took me a long time to buy. Not sure. The price bit, but the opportunity arose and decided. Of course, upon meeting, I was immediately surprised by the sound. How can sound flow from such small rectangles and envelop the bass? The wide connectivity options are also captivating: TV, mobile, turntable - all through Pyatyorki. In my opinion, the figure in them sounds better than vinyl, more detailed. But the nuances begin again, so I don’t want to go into the depths. In short, Fives will…

Pros
  • Design. Capabilities. Sound.

The quality is fine, it's fine to use.

I was determined to take them, but decided to listen with KEF ls50w2 out of sporting interest. I understand that different categories, but nevertheless it was curious. After KEF clips sounded terrible. At what, simple fives and maclaren edition sounded differently. Both sounded disgusting in different ways. As a result, I ordered a KEF. I advise you to approach the choice of acoustics not only according to reviews, but first of all according to your ear, requirements and room.

Pros
  • Hard hit. For vintage lovers πŸ‘Œ
Cons
  • slurred sound
