I bought this USB-C hub for my 2018 iPad Pro. When connecting an external SSD, it works perfectly. A power adapter is required to connect to one of the USB-A/USB-C ports when transferring data to/from an iPad/external SSD. The only thing I missed was a headphone jack. The build quality is excellent, aluminum.
