A very well made instrument.

A well designed tool made from premium materials and workmanship. They are made to last. They also cost more than cheap Chinese instruments. If you make a living from tools, the difference in cost makes sense. Just having a reliable tool is worth something to me. This is a worthwhile investment.

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • No

They work (for the price)!

Overpriced (all good tools are) but worth it. I just cut 1/16 inch stainless steel aircraft wire yesterday and used one of my old cheaper wire cutters because they were closer. Didn't leave a dent. Grabbed a Knipex and cut through the hot butter with a knife. , buy you.

Pros
  • Low friction dual spring for smooth and consistent opening
Cons
  • weak

Poor quality cutters.

These pliers are very disappointing. The cutting edge broke off even though they weren't used to cut anything hard. The company sent documents showing it was under a Canadian warranty. Postage was quite high. So don't go back. It later turned out they might have been brought back to Illinois after I threw them away.

Pros
  • Made of high quality ball bearing steel; About 20% lighter than traditional electronics pliers
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great Little Cutters

The fit and finish is what you would expect from Knipex - near perfect. The polish is perfect but as it is not chrome plated it needs to be rubbed down with oil from time to time. The nubs are pleasant to the touch, although the springs could be a bit wider and a bit more powerful, but that's definitely not a problem. The blades are very sharp and cut a single hair anywhere on the blade. I'd say they're near perfect for the price, but they don't quite compare to the Tronex or Swanstrom cutters,

Pros
  • Precisely flush cutting edges with induction hardening for longer life and more reliable cutting
Cons
  • Slightly torn
