These are surprisingly strong.

Purchased to remove the leads from the condensers in our HVAC unit. These capacitors can deliver a severe shock if you manage to touch them with metal or skin, even with the power off. They worked like a charm, easily removing the connector from the blade on the capacitors without fear of setting yourself on fire. They're not *tiny*. but that wasn't a problem in this case.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

I also bought a lineman version of these needle nose pliers, they are very light in the hand but feel as strong as steel pliers. I have 35 years of experience as a commercial electrician in heavy industry. I wish we had had this 20 years ago. This is a definite purchase. Super strong, super muscular. When you pick them up, they feel like a feather. Marvelous!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Small things

Saved me just when I had to work with mortally alive conductors.

Sometimes you just need to work on a live circuit and these pliers protect me much more securely than carrying live equipment and conductors in boxes. They suck like regular needle nose pliers (I keep a steel set that I keep in my work bag for heavy duty jobs that require them) but they are excellent and help separate conductors in a panel or box. These, combined with the Volt Claw (yellow), are never out of reach when I'm doing old chores or fixing a support call.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly dented

I never thought I would need these

I have many insulated pliers and other tools and at first I asked myself "why do I need this?" until I saw the tremendous benefits. Gripping a live wire with any insulated tool will work, but what happens if you accidentally touch another wire with the metal part of the insulated pliers? You guessed it, sparks, shorts, blown fuses or tripped switches, and lots of swearing. There are no metal parts here, so all you have to worry about is a wire touching something it shouldn't. Genius. Great…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Great needle nose pliers for plastic.

Excellent pliers, essential when working with electrical circuits. It's a shame I didn't find these sooner. When you insert a wire into a terminal block, there's no chance you'll touch anything with these pliers and cause a short. If you work with fire alarm systems. it is great. Because if you cause a short, that's a fire alarm, and opening it is the problem. You don't want to set off an alarm in a high-rise building. These circuits are low voltage. These pillars are also ideal for…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Just stop thinking and buy them. -Napoleon

This is the best tool I use every day. I work on live circuits every day and never realized how much I needed them. Sure, insulated tools are nice, but metal parts still conduct electricity, and you have to be very careful when pulling out a screw you've dropped on a live switch or when holding onto a hot wire. They are well made, comfortable for my large hands and absolutely non-conductive. 10/10 stars. If you're an electrician and you work with anything live, you need it, even if you don't…
