Corrections available

Corrections for the templates in the book are available on Storey Publishers' website:[.]They are LOTS: 7 out of 15 templates have corrections and they are 3 pages long when you print them. The amount of fixes in the "Carrot Top" hat is amazing. Has anyone edited this book? However, there are some very cute hats in this book.

Pros

Excellent book!

Simple patterns. I have owned this book for a long time. After thinking I would never knit a hat from this book again, I gave it to a new knitter because it's perfect for beginner knitters. Then I found out I wanted to make another hat out of this book and bought it again. I know it seems ridiculous, I'd probably borrow it back if I just remembered who the new knitter is. There are so many! Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Older model

I'm much better at co-designing my own based on yarn and thickness.

I will use the numbers for different weight yarns. I will not make any special hats from the book as they are not attractive. Pay attention to the release date. The publication takes some time. If the hats were designed in the '90s, that probably explains the odd style. I'm much better at designing my own patterns based on yarn and thickness, taking inspiration from Ravelry. I regret buying it and will probably give it away as a gift.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
