pretty splashes of color

hand wound this yarn last night. This is another one I'm going to have a hard time staying in place in the first-in first-out (or FIFO for accountants) yarn queue. Be careful when winding - don't pull it too tight or you'll stretch it. Looks like a good choice for small size 2 needles.

Pros
  • FRIDAY WEIGHT: A single skein of finger-size Knit Picks Hawthorne Speckle Yarn; 80% Highland Wool Superwash and 20% Polyamide, 100 grams for a total of 357 yards
Cons
  • I don't remember,

Spekl like in the picture, beautiful!

I bought the mottled yarn to make a border around a blue and pink cardigan I am crocheting and it is exactly like the one shown Picture. I like this fine yarn, even if it's not the softest; It just works and makes beautiful patterns. This goes perfectly with my crochet, I'm happy.

Pros
  • MULTICOLOR: Each color has color spots and color drips, hand-dyed; this means the exact colors may vary from skein to skein
Cons
  • Only available in black

Bound Mess. But good yarn had to be sent back.

Beautiful texture in beautiful colours. They put it on the table and carefully opened it. I started knitting and oh my god what a mess a complete knot. There are no instructions on how to start detangling like this. I was guided by my common sense, I crocheted for a long time. Nothing but a mess. And I refuse to buy a yarn winder. I will do it manually. Tried this and oh my god another big mess after 2 hours. I gave up and sent good yarn again, but beware of rewinding it.

Pros
  • VERSATILE YARN: With a high twist for durability, this yarn is amazingly strong, resilient and perfect for socks, shawls, sweaters and more
Cons
  • Easily crumpled
