Koch 5600825 White Braided Cotton/Poly Sash Cord, 100 Feet, Trade Size 8 Review

I'm repairing a 1912 house when I'm repairing windows and replacing counterbalance cords. 100 feet made about 8 windows.

You can't go wrong with this cable. It's long, strong and of good quality. I use it to ride my horse when it needs to be isolated in an area for a while. That works great.

Lovely soft cotton rope. I used it to wrap a heater in my daughter's room. The only reason for 4 stars is that it's not a pure bright white as it seems, but a natural 'white', some tan/cream. (2nd picture against the background of a bright white chair)

I pulled 3 of my 1925 double windows with it. As described. Tight limited stretch. Fit as described. The diameter also corresponds to the description. Installed about 6 months ago so can't comment on extended (years) performance. So far, so good. This is a stiff rope ideal for tying to a counterweight system.

We bought these to replace the rope on our shade sails and they fit perfectly. In the mountains we are exposed to very strong UV rays from the sun that destroy the rope, we survived the summer with this replacement rope almost without the degradation of the previous rope. Strands, the old matchstick trick didn't seem to tie him up as well as the old rope, but I will endure struggles and more years of service.

I use this rope to make baskets out of coiled rope that don't care about elasticity or lack of elasticity, so I can't comment on that. I love the strength of this rope, it's nice and thick and pretty easy to pierce with a darning needle. I really wish someone would still make solid cotton rope without a polyvinyl core. I dyed this cord for one of my baskets and the cotton has shrunk but the polyester core has not, resulting in some weird creases and places where the polyester stuck through the…
