D-76 provides full emulsion speed and excellent shadow detail with normal contrast, and produces fine grain. One gallon mix is in powder form and must be mixed with water before use. You'll find it an excellent choice for almost any general photo application.

d-76 Classic Developer

D-76 has been around longer than me. I used it in high school, high school and college and now that I'm a professional photographer I still use it. This is one of the best general developers. Digital is great, but black and white film still looks different than digital. My clients can experience a certain feeling that black and white films convey. My local camera shop has several packs of film, they charge $12 (which is insanely expensive). I can get it on Revain for $5-6 and it works great. I…

Great developer!

I've been using this developer off and on for a few years now and it has never let me down! It's relatively inexpensive, and as another reviewer mentioned, it has decent durability. USAGE. If your film's development time isn't listed on the back cover, a quick Google search will bring up several charts covering almost every common film on the market. for that particular developer.
