Cold air moves, that's for sure. I'd say it's capable of cooling up to 1000 square feet. The board seems fine, there are no problems. I also have a delivery problem. Came to me very damaged. It took a bit of work to put the lid on. I'm not sure whose fault it is, but I know it's not mine, especially for a $500 device. There has to be some value to the consumer for this junk. If Amazon receives something damaged, they will give you a credit.

I've been sweating and saying NO MORE for the past year! I googled "ac vertical window" and it had the best reviews. That's wonderful. We have a duplex room with a high ceiling and this air conditioner cools the living room, dining room and kitchen. It doesn't go down the hall to the bedrooms, but we didn't expect that. The unit hangs well outside the window so my husband used a 12x4 tree with a platform at the top for the outside of the unit. Quite and very reliable. So worth the money!

This is a powerful and very solid air conditioner. My room is in the attic and it's quite difficult to find an air conditioner that will keep it cool enough in the summer. Very happy with this air conditioner. The first day I installed it the weather outside was 105 degrees Fahrenheit and it kept my room at a comfortable 72 degrees and could probably lower the temperature even more if I wanted to.
