Excellent price, quality and functionality!

This is excellent value for money! I prefer pan and tilt to a regular ball mount. Pan and tilt movements are smooth and well-damped, and the metal construction is lightweight yet durable. The combination handle and tilt lock are a pleasure to use. There is a spirit level in the grip of the clamping screw which is useful when using the mount for portraits as there is no 90 degree notch when unfolded. Smooth and durable.

You wouldn't know how good it was unless you used another conventional tripod head and played around with it. I have an older Platinum Plus 6600DX from Sunpak which is pretty strong on its feet, but the head was really disappointing - jerky movement, adjustment knobs too tight or too loose, and overall poor quality control. In the end I would set the tripod to the most basic position/angle and then move the entire fixture rather than trying to use the tripod head. When I bought this Koolehaoda…

Good value for money, solid grip but room for improvement.

What is good? - Price - Heavy construction, very strong - Large ball means strong surface friction to keep your camera stable and non-slip. - RC2 QR is built in and works fine for the most part (more on that later). - separate pan rotation, nice - double friction holds the ball, use one for quick and easy adjustments e.g. for sport shooting, or use both for dependable stability, e.g. B. in landscape or astrophotography. What's not so good? - The lock on the RC2 QR didn't open, the spring closed
