I got my job done for about $50 in parts (including this kit) when the plumber wanted $600. The tools worked just fine. I did pinch my hand with the cutter the first time I used it. (water spraying out made me rush) The crimper was a little tricky in some positions (working overhead) but it was doable. I recommend doing a couple of practice crimps before you do your final stuff. The crimp tool is very difficult to use. The handle is spread very wide when starting a crimp and it is very difficult to grip. I had to use two hands to get the crimp started which made it difficult to get the band in the correct spot. Once the tool handles closed about half way I could grip normally and the tool was much easier to use.I recommend finding a different tool with longer handles and that don't spread as wide when starting the crimp.Other than the crimping issue, the tool and…

Bought these for an upcoming project but ended up needing them for another vehicle's battery cable recently. Worked great and was so nice to not have to run to town to get parts! Love being able to crimp larger cables from home now. Good value for the price!

This set was my missing pieces of my home tool set. I needed a large gauge crimper and cutter and this fit my needs perfectly. The cutter is solid and scary how well it cuts thick wire. The crimper works well with nice long handles but the crimp sprockets are a hair-misaligned. This does what I need.Removed two crimp rings, and it didn't cut them well at all. The actual crimps seem to be good and solid.Nice case, keeps everything together so it doesn't get lost if you don't use it often.I really like the included cutter. It's much smother than my old one. This is a great crimping tool for the price. I have been looking for a while and found this one. I did not want a hydraulic crimping tool. It seemed like overkill. This one works very easily and crimps/cold welds as good as any I have seen.The dye's are all built in to the head and there nothing to change. This crimper works just as well or better than the ones that cost twice as much.I just wish it was a little more ergonomic. I struggle with the initial part of the crimp, once the handles are closer together I can easily finish the crimp. I love the ease of using this tool.

The cutting does a great job, although I have read other reviews that it's a bit thin--I did not have any issues with it. The crimping tool does a great job as well. I have small hands and was able to use it without issues.The kit also came with a carrying case and two different ring sizes--all are a great plus.
