Need an adapter - Accessories and supplies

It was great until I realized the plug on the cord is bigger than the plug on the radio! It should work fine too, but you'll need to buy an adapter to fit both the radio and this cable.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Appearance

Works worse than no antenna at all.

Not working. I made sure to connect the power supply to the radio's antenna output and it just picked up the station. If I turn it off, I get a few. With a standard antenna I get 10+. It's garbage.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are problems

Very poor reception for an active antenna

Very poor reception for an active antenna. I installed it on the dashboard. Not hidden anywhere and when driving through town the best reception I can get is some light static.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Poor serviceability

Instructions are clear (and even jokes are good, well played)

Bought from 91 Firebird with Kenwood Media Receiver (KMM-BT318U). Installs quickly with a plug and the signal is strong anywhere in the car. Plus, the instructions are clear (and even funny, well acted). Recommended for anyone looking to remove their external mast style antenna.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

not worth your time. complete failure.

Not working. Installed in the windshield. The reception is significantly worse than with a conventional antenna. cracking and hissing. Turning it on gets worse. A real scrap. They offered to refund the money but at my expense of delivery. I'm not sure how that makes sense on an item that costs almost as much to return as the price of the item. Even with my car, a lengthy installation did not help. Don't worry about that.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some small things

Good antenna, easy to install on FLHX

This antenna may not perform as well as a standard whip antenna, but the used FLHX I purchased had an aftermarket 6 inch antenna that looked good , but the reception was terribly bad. I installed this antenna and now I can receive all the stations I was expecting and the bike looks even cooler as the antenna is not visible at all. Installation was easy. 2-sided tape to stick the antenna element to the inside of my radome, light electrical connection to the cable feeding the outlet on the leftโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No

Much clearer AM signal

I'm having trouble receiving AM stations with the factory antenna on my Sony car stereo. After a quick 10 minute setup I tried out a once weak AM station and was happy to get a much louder and clearer signal than before. It definitely worked better with the power amp on as I tried it with no power and it wasn't such a good signal. I had to run it and clip it to the top of the windshield, but the sticky clips on the back made it an easy process. Highly recommended for people with poor AMโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

This product must have quality control issues. Some people say it works great even when installed under a METAL DASHBOARD. Some people say that it doesn't work at all when installed behind the WINDSHIELD GLASS. These ratings make little sense. I've worked in high energy physics for 37 years and am fairly adept at radio wave propagation and reception and this device should NOT work if shielded by metal. Conversely, it should work fine when mounted on glass. Either the proxy reviewers are leaving

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not bad
