Not bad for the price

Just got this after looking through a lot of good and bad reviews about this soldering station and have been using Weller products for years, it's mostly a hobby. Not bad to be honest, mine was already set to English and as soon as I turned it on the iron was ready to use, I mean it heats up quickly and you can control the temperature, standby mode and other parameters. Buyers beware - you can get a soldering iron or a paperweight.

I really wanted this to work. The first one I ordered arrived DOA, just didn't work right away, didn't blow any fuses, just wouldn't turn on the display. It just has to be bad luck, right? I ordered a replacement from Amazon and sent the first one back. The second was a little better, the screen turned on! Everything, the screen turned on. Very stable temperature during use, quick warm-up. Save the calibration for different tips separately.

Quality construction. Very impressive. The temperature is very stable during use. I like the ability to save calibration for different types of implements. Everything is configurable, even the temperature of the cold end (end of grip) can be calibrated.
