Everything worked great at first but after a while I think the steam from my kettle ruined it. I've never submerged it in water but it stuck out of a tiny hole in my kettle so I could heat the water to exactly 205F. Again it worked great for about a month or two then I noticed the display never got above 198F.

I don't know exactly but it was very easy to use and I think it's just perfect for my purposes. I use it to prevent my tea from burning and different teas need to be brewed at different temperatures. All I did was slide and secure it to the inside of the mouth of my teapot and I can grab it when it hits the neck. i need speed Great little thermometer!

excellent thermometer! I used my fingertip to determine if the milk was hot enough as I steamed it. I know I love my lattes that get heated to 155 and that makes them perfect every time, so much better than burning yourself. I really like it and wasn't sure based on other reviews. But it's a simple gadget that does what I need it to do.

I'm a scientist and I tested this. He measured 195 degrees Fahrenheit for boiling water (should be 212) and 43 degrees Fahrenheit for ice water (should be 32). Calibration with a nut proved useless, simply rearranging the errors from one place to another. It is very inaccurate to measure the temperature of meat and you cannot be sure that the food is properly cooked to be safe to eat. You can't trust numbers. Don't waste money on it!

This was a spare thermometer that I used a lot. The price was very reasonable, the product is very well made, but what impressed me the most was the packaging! The item arrived in a small sealed box inside a Revain box. Inside was an instruction manual and a small soft envelope with a neatly packaged thermometer. Someone went to great lengths to ensure the thermometer arrived in perfect condition - what a delight for the customers! Very happy to recommend.

Should have read the description more carefully. They say the dial is 1 inch, but the pictures show it as a "more regular" size. As is (seemingly) common for cheap foreign-made goods, the instructions are poorly written. For example, the instructions state that you must zero the "not” under the thermometer head. I didn't notice on the picture and the description that it only measures in FI I was looking for a thermometer a) with only one measuring range, only in C°, and b) more than 100 °C measures. A thermometer I had before had 2 systems of measurement and it was written in very small letters. It melted after a few weeks of use.
