Garbage. Single board computer

The first device I got was DOA. I went back and got a replacement. The replacement unit worked fine initially, but seems to have burned out after the first 6 hours. Now the camera shows a pink screen with a black bar across it and nothing else. There is no technical information about this product on the vendor's website.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

Works fine with some adjustments.

I ended up setting this up as a streaming camera on my home network using Motion on Raspbian. Essentially, I have a 24fps stream (when motion is detected, otherwise it's 2fps to save bandwidth) on my network (sending over HTTP on port 8081) that I'm receiving from another computer running iSpy is running on which the video will be saved for monitoring purposes later... For the time being for scientific reasons I will be watching my plants grow on my balcony so I can monitor the progress…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Works well in night mode

The camera is configured quickly. When I found that the lens can be rotated to adjust focus, I was happy with the quality. Low-light shots (night mode) are surprisingly clear. The photo of the dog was taken in the dark. Cherry wood cabinet to show the quality of the paint. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it for your Pi project.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Operating speed

Good electronics on single board computers

The camera works and the picture looks much better than my previous one. It was a little tricky getting the bolts in and tightening the nut, but doable with patience. I haven't tested anything other than the camera at the moment but when I connect it to my pi3 the camera works. I noticed that it gets hot on the back.

Cons

Love this camera for computers and accessories

This was the perfect addition to my Raspberry Pi garage door closer and now I can see photos when it's dark in the garage. I also like the picture of Johnny 5

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Amazing day/night camera

Arrived nicely packaged in anti-static bags. Once assembled and hooked up, everything worked like clockwork. I bought it for a night vision project I'm working on. While it works great.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • There are cons

Nice, handy camera module!

Great little camera module for Raspberry Pi. As you can see in the first two shots I made a little handheld night vision camera out of it. The second 2 pictures were actually taken with this camera module. The images are the same, the first with the light on, the second with the light off (almost total darkness). You can see that the infrared port works well in the dark. The Raspbian operating system has built-in support for a camera connected to the Pi's camera port. I didn't need any…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Super cheap LEDs for Arduino projects

Incredibly cheap but decent quality LEDs. They also appear to be able to withstand a lot of heat from a soldering iron before being welded. I've used them for various projects and the brightness is pretty good. Will definitely buy more when I run out.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Not bad in computer parts

The camera is of quite good quality. The resolution is very decent, but remember that it has manual focus. This means you have to focus it manually.

Pros
  • Many will do
Cons
  • Almost everything is
