Great little screen for specific projects Raspberry Pi

I bought this screen for a specific art project and it fits my needs perfectly. It was easy to install, has a good color and is the right size for what I need. I briefly tested the touchscreen out of curiosity (I won't be using touch functionality in my project) and it worked as expected. At 480x320, the screen isn't very high resolution, but it's quite dense at this size. Although the instructions were clearly written by a non-native English speaker, the installation was fairly easy and wentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This 3.5" resistive touch screen plugs directly into any version of Raspberry Pi (Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W, a, A+, b, B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+). . Raspberry Pi is not included.
Cons
  • Fits

Ideal for portable retro gaming.

Although this screen is a bit small, it serves the purpose and is very easy to install (although if you use it with the Pi 0 want the non-w version , then things can get complicated). Also, there is a website (lcdwiki.com) with lots of information and detailed instructions on how to get this display working in different environments (different operating systems, different Pi, even has stock images), which I found very helpful. Will definitely consider buying this screen again for futureโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This touch screen supports Raspbian/Ubuntu/Kali/RETROPIE systems. We provide drivers and images for free. (Please scan the QR code in the instructions to download it)
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

I followed all the steps and it worked fine, then I updated my Pi0w and it stopped working. Turns out the latest build (a month or two ago) stopped working the screen and I'd have to do all your work to try and fix it over ssh. I would refrain from using "sudo apt update" for a new Pi project if using this screen. I hope this information is outdated and everything works, but I spent three days getting mine to work because it was the updates that caused the screen to go black. It's a greatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The Raspberry Pi screen can work with the fbcp software driver, you can adjust the resolution with the software (the native RPI screen resolution is 320 ร— 480).
Cons
  • High Price

Works only sometimes

Sometimes it needs drivers and works fine. but when you turn them on, HDMI stops working. and there is no clear way to uninstall the drivers and restore HDMI use on the big screen. As a result, you will have to reinstall the operating system. Nice little trick, or could work well for a 5" or 7" screen for kiosk use. This kid just isn't worth that much. I can't do much and interacting with the operating system is difficult because either everything is so small OR the windows on the screen are so
