Same as the Niji 12mm Waterbrush but less expensive. I bought both and they are identical. The Kuretake Zig pack is in Japanese and the Niji pack is in English. Why pay the extra $4 for an English package? It's the same brush.

This is my new favorite brush for applying unscented mineral spirits to colored pencil drawings. Although the brush is wide, it applies the perfect amount of liquid without saturating the paper. If desired, you can apply a thicker layer by squeezing the container harder. The bristles will not smudge or smudge each other's colors. Great brush for my needs, have ordered 2 more!

Just what you need for filling or filling large areas. Ideal for cake tin sets, semi-moist or dry. Also, don't panic if the dyes stain the brush even after washing it with water. This is a pretty cool water color brush that can be used as a flat square tipped brush. Then remove the plastic collar (the part at the base of the bristles) and it turns into a wider mopping brush. Or, without removing the collar, twist the collar a quarter turn and the bristles come out. You can then apply paint to create a natural patterned effect for gravel, grass or whatever. Love it!

I am disappointed with this product as it is not a completely flat brush. The planer should have bristles that form a chisel-like tip. This brush has long, flexible bristles with no real shape or feather (a sign of cheap synthetics). While you can straighten the bristle, it will turn into a regular rounded point before you finish the stroke. As a waterbrush, this is a hit - it holds plenty of water and doesn't leak. This flat brush has more volume than a pointed brush and is therefore about a third longer. The lid looks like a pocket clip, but it's not. I suspect its function is to keep the handle from rolling. The packaging is in Japanese but there are illustrations for the instructions. You can order another one for ink use as this one is used with water.
