🌟 Kurt Adler 10-Light Multi-Color Capiz Star Tree Topper: Sparkling Christmas Decor for a Festive Tree! Review

This year my daughter and I made a rainbow garland, so our old copper colored Christmas tree looked very strange. I saw this on Revain and thought it was pretty cool. I had no idea it caught fire, either, until it arrived. Looks great and we all love it. Perfect for wood! It was easy to connect to the garland (although probably even easier if I had done it before the tree was decorated).

Full disclosure, I had the exact same star I bought in 1990 and LOST! We moved last year and my star disappeared and my heart was broken until I checked Revane. Two days later we hung our poinsettia 2.0 on the tree and Christmas was merry again. It's so colorful and cool. I use all the white lights on my tree which makes that particular star even more visible. Thanks for saving Christmas, Revane.

This is a replacement for the exact same treetop that has lasted at least nine years. much longer than a normal backlit Christmas decoration. I was very happy to find one at Revain and this replacement seems to be a little more durable than the original. I love the look of stained glass and it looks classy compared to a lot of other crappy options. The family tradition lives on!

The star itself is too heavy to stay on the tree when supported by a spiral. I ended up using zip ties to hold it in place and it didn't work very well. I'll try cable ties next year. Also, the cable is really short. We have a 6 foot tall artificial tree and needed an extension cord to plug into the wall directly behind it. It's also smaller than I thought, about the size of a salad plate. Although, maybe I just inattentively read the description. All in all I wouldn't buy this again.

I really wanted to like this star. The picture looked beautiful. When it arrived I thought I'd give it three stars because it had some junk on it that I couldn't get rid of. Unfortunately we only had the star on one night and when I turned it on the next day it stopped working. I am very disappointed and will be returning it for a refund. As other reviewers have said, hard to get it to stay solid and stay square on your tree. Make sure you have a plan for it. We came close to driving a nail into the top of the tree to thread the wire through before finally getting the topper's spool to effectively hook into the small ridge left by the broken branch. I think a lot of the negative reviews are because people don't know what Capiz is and think the top of the tree is made of colored glass or clear plastic should be. The topper is NOT made of glass or plastic. This is CAPISE SHELL. The Capiz shell is a natural product, it is a translucent tropical shell that can be dyed in different colors.
