The star itself is too heavy to stay on the tree when supported by a spiral. I ended up using zip ties to hold it in place and it didn't work very well. I'll try cable ties next year. Also, the cable is really short. We have a 6 foot tall artificial tree and needed an extension cord to plug into the wall directly behind it. It's also smaller than I thought, about the size of a salad plate. Although, maybe I just inattentively read the description. All in all I wouldn't buy this again.
