Most embossing dies are suitable for A2 (4.25" x 5.5") cards. This is for 5x7 cards and cannot be cut due to the design will. Spring. My fault is that I didn't read the description better. Works well with embossing.

I love this herringbone embossing. It is absolutely beautiful and makes a lovely 4.25 x 5.5 card. The frame is also good for small cards, but I would prefer unframed wood so I can emboss on larger cards if I want - which I do - and also on bags. I'm in the process of embossing wood and cutting it out to put on a mat for a larger card, but would have preferred space around the wood. However, I gave 5 stars because it is nice and beautifully embossed.
