The product has a few scratches, some deep, the product has been used. The hinges are thin plastic and seem to break easily. The size shown is not the full usable space. The plexiglass floor is as thin as a CD case, the door a little thicker. I bought this item as a gift, so I like to look at the product before I give it as a gift. I expected the item to be new.

I try not to write bad reviews. I try to make sure that I have at least something good to say about the product. This product is transparent and easy to use IF it stays together. It's a big WHEN as it never stays together. The hinge part always separates. I've tried using it several times and have since given up. I even used duct tape to hold it together. It just doesn't work for me. Don't waste money. Go buy Tim Holtz. You'll be glad you did.

I used it once. After use I wiped it down with a damp cloth (no soap or other chemicals) before putting it away and the stitch lines as shown in the sales picture came off on the damp cloth! The fabric was from an old t-shirt, not rough or scratchy, but it picked up the printed grid lines from the plastic. This ink pad is perfect for me. It's not as thin and tiny as a CD case. This is a lightweight acrylic, quite durable. This is the perfect size for me. I have a Tim Holtz stamp platform and I think I will be using this one many times. I love that it's lightweight and doesn't look bulky/clunky and this stamp platform has no obstructions on three sides giving you more options for paper placement.
