Type of review

Noticeable improvement in ride and handling. Many complain that the armband and bumper are not included. (Ford app) Big deal. Just snap these off your old shocks and snap them in here. Lasts every 10 seconds. Or you can buy a new one.

Pros
  • Specially calibrated to restore the original handling and drive characteristics of the Ford Focus.
Cons
  • Expensive car.

This is not for the 2001 Focus Wagon SE!

I don't want to give this product a bad review. I just don't want anyone buying them for their Ford Focus SE car. I end up paying about $6 to return shocks when there is NO way to use shocks on a station wagon and not a stock focus. It's frustrating! If you have a car you will need shock absorber 343291. I guess I will have to use outside sites to find the parts I need.

Pros
  • KYB recommends a replacement shock absorber OEM
Cons
  • Slightly dented

KYB shocks for the Focus are good stuff and made in Japan. KYB gear is expensive (about $20 for a regular price set). But the shocks and brackets look good, fit and look just like the originals. If you can get a stock shock (usually under $10 each) I would give the shocks 5 stars. But if you have to pay the regular price for mounts, just buy Monroe shocks instead. Monroe uses a different design than OE. Instead of the original mount, Monroe uses a simple rubber bushing. But more importantlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Strong seamless mounting tabs and stud bushings to eliminate chatter
Cons
  • Boring packaging
