Good shock for the money

One shock had all the hardware to attach to another shock, the other shock had no hardware. I needed a bushing so I got lucky and cut the old bushing out of my old shock. But otherwise they are good shock absorbers for the money, I like them so far.

Pros
  • KYB recommended replacement shock OEM
Cons
  • Minor things

2 seemed to slide easily, both 2 I bought

Does not fit my 1970 Chevy C20 pickup, Amazon said it would fit, length was correct but the diameter of the Frame nut was too small. The shocks looked average when pushed, two of the two I bought seemed to push slightly. They appear to be identical to the Monroe or other shocks that cost a lot less.

Pros
  • Solid seamless mounting tabs and pin bushings to prevent rattling
Cons
  • Legacy model

NO HOUSE ON CARS.

WILL NOT FIT HOTORHOME CHEVY P30 CHASSIS. I ordered them and they are NOT designed for heavy RV chassis. You need KYB Gas-A-Just shocks to get the job done. I didn't bother sending them back as I had another car that could use them. There should be a better application description in the spec to help vintage campervan owners not buy it only to find it can't handle the 9000+ pound load.

Pros
  • Specially calibrated to restore the original handling and ride characteristics of GM trucks.
Cons
  • Style 90

Shock absorbers only in shock absorbers, struts and suspension

They may be more powerful but on my daily truck they offer nothing but the standard shock absorber of the past. Based on the ads and the few reviews, I was expecting something to fall out. But in my opinion, the only thing you get on regular road car apps is the KYB name. It's up to you whether you want to pay for it. And in all honesty, if I decided to pay a little more in the future, I would choose a cooler color than black.

Pros
  • Triple chrome piston rod and wear reducing multi-lip seals
Cons
  • Fits
