Improved Gas Shock KYB 344399 - Excel-G for Enhanced Performance Review

These shocks are far superior to the stock shocks on my Ram 1500. Great price, unmatched in my area (Boise). I would recommend them to anyone looking for replacement shock absorbers.

The front end of my truck was bouncing quite a bit, the truck has only done 54,000 miles. Removed the stock shock absorbers and found them to be over. Installed them, regained control and made the ride stiffer but not too harsh.

My husband installed it in a few hours. It took a little longer because his old ones were so rusted. But we are very happy with this item and saved $100 on all 4 compared to our local stores. Prices!

For production models. Well installed but the bottom rubber mount feels thinner which exposes the bottom mounting tube more than the original I removed. This affected the handling a lot as they had more drag than the ones I removed. They were installed just a few weeks later to evaluate their durability.

However, I've ridden with a broken shock absorber for a long time without realizing it. Here's the story, I switched from 3/4 diesel to 1/2 petrol. After a while, I figured the softer, springier ride was half-ton quality. Boy, when I snuggled under and realized the half shock (probably from overloading the truck because it always goes 3/4 or 1 ton) I felt stupid. Nevertheless, all 4 shock absorbers were replaced and damn, the truck feels like this now!
