KYB KG4159 Gas-a-Just Gas Shock: Optimal Performance for Smooth and Controlled Suspension Review

After removing the old shock absorbers and raising the Durango on a hoist at 9:00 a.m., it was found that the parts were defective. I had to walk into town to the car zone which is open until 10am. Needless to say we were PO'd.

I bought shocks for my 2005 Dodge Durango and they work as advertised. While they looked very different from the standard ones, they fit and bolted on. Ride quality is great, a little stiffer than stock but it makes handling much better. Haven't taken them off the road yet, but as soon as I do I'll update this review.

After much research and reading shock reviews for my Dodge Durango I decided to go with KYB and am glad I did. They were everything I had hoped for. Good handling without harshness, I replaced all 4, this model number is for the rear. What a difference to my old, worn series dampers. This is my first time using KYB and I'm glad I chose them.

I bought these for my Dodge Durango. I do a lot of off-road riding in Colorado, so the factory shocks are worn out. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on competition style shocks so I looked for something more aggressive than stock but not expensive. KYB is the only manufacturer that makes it for me.
