Works great for muscle cars.

They were a great addition to my 70's Chevelle. Even worked with my 1.5" lowering springs. Ride quality has improved significantly.

Pros
  • Components and valves specially designed for vintage cars
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

Great beats, my old one was about 15 years old.

Great shocks, my old one was about 15 years old and they were still good but having redesigned the entire front of my El Camino I just went through them replaced.

Pros
  • Mono tube design outperforms all other stock shocks
Cons
  • I will add later

Very satisfied and great damper for the money on my 68 SS ElCamino

Only 3 stars for 'installation' as I have to use my cutting disc around the ears to trim flush into a pen pail. Otherwise easy installation in general. Excellent shock / performance so far and very satisfied. Read the reviews before buying where some people say the gaskets fell out right away, but they've been on my car for several months and I've had no problems.

Pros
  • Adds up to 25% more damping performance compared to stock shocks
Cons
  • boring packaging

Shock absorber seals failed

I installed shock absorbers in the first week of February and for some reason this has never happened to me. The seals on both shocks have failed, there is fluid everywhere and now I'm safely outside the return window, so am I stuck with the shocks at this point? I would not recommend them. They are fitted to a 1971 Chevelle in excellent condition, at first they seemed very good, then I noticed the difference, put the car on a lift and saw fluid on all the springs. I've been involved with cars…

Pros
  • Monotube design outperforms all other standard shock absorbers
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
