Quality item at a very competitive price.

These shock absorbers are very useful for improving the ride and handling of your car or truck. Currently I don't know of any other shock absorber brand that, for such a small investment, delivers the ride quality that you will feel the moment you get behind the wheel.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • So far so good

Love these shocks

In thirty years of working and driving this 1970 Camaro SS 396 I have not been able to beat the performance of these shocks for the price with any of three or four good pairs of shocks of different types and brands. I will be replacing these shocks when the time comes for another pair of the same. Try them on your muscle car and see what you think.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • unreliable

Better than I ever expected.

Bought for my '67 Camaro. I sure thought I'd need springs too, but I wanted to make shock absorbers first, just in case. MAN, MAN! It drives like it's on rails. Good, durable, cuts corners like a dream! I no longer feel like I'm going to roll or bounce. I have renewed confidence in the car, now it has new shock absorbers! No more tire friction, no more jumping or that land yacht feeling.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Nothing

Best Transformer for Shocks

I recently bought a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with almost 50,000 miles on the odometer. Smooth ride up front with original OEM blocks. The rear is quite controllable thanks to the load-balancing system, but the front end twists two or three times before coming to a stop at highway speeds. Now it's a much more controlled ride. Big, wavy highway grips in one go, no oil spill - smoother driving at lower speeds.

Pros
  • Handy Thing
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff

Catalog is wrong.: Parts

On the garage floor at midnight found the catalog listing them as suitable for 1961-1981 GM full size cars is wrong on at least my car . Not too happy, gotta wait for a few more shocks this time Monroe as they look exactly the same size as on the car. The spacing of the bottom mounting bolts was an issue, too close together they needed to be half an inch wider center to center of the bolt holes.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to tell
